They’ve finished! They completed the journey yesterday evening, taking seventeen days in total. Full details to follow late tonight.
Congratulations!
Update:
The final day involved strong winds, thankfully mostly in their favour. They reached 32 mph without pedalling at one point and were fighting against being pushed into ditches. They cycled 63.7 miles, bringing the full distance to 1029.3 miles. That’s an average of just over 60 miles per day over the 17 days.
Sadly, by the time Meghan and I got there to pick them up, it was already dark. We did get this picture of them crossing the finishing line though:

Quite artistic really.
Now that’s done, we’ll have to find out what they’re planning for their next challenge…
Well done to both of you. Fantastic achievement especially considering the conditions. You will certainly appreciate your home comforts now !
Are you cycling to work next Monday Carol?
Absolutely fantastic achievement, well done to you both.
Please don’t ask me to come on any bike rides with you who knows where we would end up.
Once again well done especially as you have had some terrible weather conditions to contend with.
Looking forward to hearing lots more details on your return, hope you kept a diary.
See you soon
