End of day nine

Part of Carol's adventure in Sponsored Cycle Ride

Another bad day. Quoting directly from a text message we received:

“Torrential rain. Reached Grasmere. Soaked to skin. No camp. Yha wanted 50 quid. Yha letting us dry clothes and wild camp in woods. Tent saturated. Floods.”

They covered 54 miles today. Let’s hope the weather improves for them soon.

548.7 miles so far.

    Hi Carol, oh dear, I think you should have gone via the East coast their weather looks as if it has been really good. Chin up – all for a good cause, you are both doing brilliantly and take care of yourselves.
