We have a veritable cornucopia of pictures today, starting with a few more from the thirteenth day.
This is a nice photo of their wild camp spot taken in the evening.

And here’s Carol keeping her energy up with a healthy snack.

And a strange, disembodied hand…

They had heavy rain again all night and into the next morning, which gave them a late start, but they decided to push for Fort William. They cycled 50.2 miles in torrential rain and reached the town late in the evening, cold and wet. On the plus side, they had a tail wind most of the day.
Reaching the highlands.

Richard fighting with the tent.

Eerie…

The fifteenth day was no better, weather-wise, with more downpours and grey skies. They headed along the A833 to Beauly via Loch Ness and Inverness, with the sun coming out a bit in the afternoon, and the rain starting again as they arrived at the camp site and started to pitch the tent. You can’t get more typically British than that…
Here’s a Scottish Loch.

Richard contemplating a pizza.

And an action shot.

They covered 64.6 miles, giving them a current total of 904.2 miles to date. They have about another 120 miles to go and are expecting to finish Tuesday evening.
Keep your spirits up, nearly there now!
Fantastic achievement so far, well done to both of you and ahead of schedule too, what do you do for an encore?
Hope the weather is kind to you over the next couple of days and enjoy the spectacular scenery.
Happy birthday to Richard for Wednesday.
Stay safe.
With love from Chris and Sadie.
